Extension to an Elizabethan cottage in Somerset

The client for this project had previously built a conservatory on the site of this extension. Since its completion they had problems with the conservatory until eventually they decided to replace it with a more robust, bespoke space. After establishing their needs for the space and observing how the existing conservatory was used, a design for a new extension with a large lantern and multiple narrow windows to create views of the sky and garden was drawn up. This was then submitted for planning by the client and built out by an excellent local builder.
